Insurance

Insurances We Accept

At Psychiatry Center of Frederick, we want our services to be accessible to as many individuals as possible. We understand that navigating the complexities of insurance can be challenging. The following information may assist you in understanding your options and the process of using insurance for your mental health services.

Understanding Your Coverage:

It is essential to verify your insurance coverage before your initial appointment to ensure that your services will be covered. Here are steps you can follow:

  1. Contact your insurance provider: Call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card to inquire about your mental health benefits.
  2. Ask the following questions:
    • Does my plan cover mental health services?
    • What is my deductible, and has it been met?
    • What is my copayment or coinsurance for mental health visits?
    • Are there any limitations on the number of sessions or specific treatment modalities covered?
  3. Obtain authorization if necessary: Some insurance plans may require pre-authorization or a referral from a primary care physician. Make sure to complete these steps if required by your plan.

Accepted Insurance Plans:

We currently accept the following insurance plans:

Psychiatry Services

Counseling Services

If your insurance provider is not listed here, please contact us and we will  provide you with more information on potential out-of-network options.

Billing and Payment:

We will bill your insurance company directly for covered services. Please be aware that you are responsible for any copayments, deductibles, or coinsurance fees at the time of your appointment.

Out-of-Network Services:

If we do not participate in your insurance plan or if you prefer to pay for services out-of-pocket, we can provide you with a statement (superbill) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider for their specific out-of-network reimbursement policies.

Confidentiality and Insurance:

Utilizing insurance for mental health services may require sharing diagnostic and treatment information with your insurance company, which could become a part of your medical record. If you have concerns about confidentiality, we can discuss alternative payment options.

If you have any further questions or need assistance with insurance-related matters, please do not hesitate to contact our office at (301)663-8343. We are here to support you in your mental health journey.
